6. OBSERVATION - TEACHING MATERIALS

 Monnet School - Grade 1b

Observation: Week of February 29 - March 2

The teacher makes use of various didactic resources, very creative and colourful materials that promote the participation of the students.  Each class the teacher provides material related to the lesson. These lessons the teacher talked about products and materials, so she brought several things made of different materials and the pupils had to describe the qualities of the products.

               Reflection

It is crucial that teachers have access to good learning materials and know how to use them effectively, because well-designed learning materials facilitate understanding and learning for individual students and are adapted to meet the different needs and learning styles of students. And they can engage students' interest and motivate them to take an active part in the learning process.  On the other hand, if the teacher provides clear examples, learning materials can help students to develop a deeper understanding of the concepts and skills they are learning. Finally, they are fundamental to providing quality learning experiences that can inspire, motivate and help students to achieve their full academic potential.

Monnet School - Grade 1b Observation: Week of February 19 - February 23 The teacher's voice is very gentle and neutral, she has a good voice modulation, as well as a goodintonation in her speech.  The teacher asks each student something related to the activity. For each question she addresses the student by name.  On the other hand, when the teacher asks open questions, the students who want to answer must raise their hands.  When she talks to a single student, she does it in front of everyone, so everyone hears what the teacher says.  Finally, I have noticed that the teacher always listens to everything her students have to say, which allows them to feel heard and comfortable. However, when students make mistakes in their answers, the teacher c...
