Reflections
The second activity involved memorising the animals and their names when the teacher removed a card, making the students think of the animals that were there and the one that was missing. Making them use the structure of the principle "It's a...".
Finally, for the last activity, he set up a quiz in which the students had to guess which letter or animal was hidden. And they asked "Is it a..."?
So the repetition, in the use of the verb to be, as well as the structure of the questions, was a strong element of the activity.
What could have been done better?
He used a football pitch, to be more dynamic and competitive.
He used the Teacher- Correction. He also used Repteition and Student's repetition - He repeated the name of the animal or the number. Finally, He used Reformulaion- the children shouted "frog", so the teacher said: "Is it a frog...?
It is an interesting video, as it shows the dynamics of the class. I thought it was a good strategy that the teacher used at the beginning, singing the song saying "I am tall", "I am small", as well as the second song about numbers. It caused the students to pay attention.
Something I found important was that he explained what they would see and finally taught them the topics (animals and number review).
I think the final part could have been a bit better. Maybe with another activity: showing more numbers or more animals.
It is also unclear whether all the students were paying attention, or only some of them.
